Putting a glob of mayonnaise on it for a couple hours works, restores the natural oils and restores color.

It’s actually on the hardwood floor. I have been watering plants for my friend since she’s in Florida and I guess something spilled I didn’t wipe up. I would love to fix it before she gets back
