It's a great day, when you open a can of tuna for your orphan,

Outdoor kitties, and the can slips out of your hand, lands 8' below, open side up! Our 3 outside kitties we care for survived the Almeda fire. We lost 2/3 of the manufactured homes in our park. Many pets were lost in those homes. One kitty we take care of has obvious fire damage to his face and tail. I make sure they have a steady diet of their favorite foods.... All natural kibble, sardines, tuna, sliced chicken hotdogs. They also have lots of leftover chicken and other meats from us.

I love them so much. I bought them a warming pad, and pillows. They trust me more and more. I ask if they're ready for dinner and a show, then turn on some oldie TV show. The most damaged kitty will stay almost 2 hours, a few feet from me... He prefers the old What's My Line, and You Bet Your Life. As Groucho might say "No accounting for taste." 😆

You have a heart of gold. You are giving them comfort and healing, from the trauma, loss, and grief they experienced in the fire.
