So... I went to the taco truck this morning and heard the best line ever...

I’d placed my order and was talking with some guys I see there all the time, who were also waiting for their order. A group of young people (early 20’s I’d say) waiting to order we’re being loud and goofing around… Harmless kid stuff but a little annoying to us older folks. One of the guys I’m talking with gives this low growl and says “They’re doing stuff I don’t like… Because I’m old”

Maybe you had to be there but it sure cracked the rest of us up

And believe it… Everyone should be this lucky, the place is amazing. I get the three taco plate pretty much every time. Three soft shell steak tacos… Onions, lettuce, cilantro… Lime wedges and homemade hot sauce on the side… Simply badass for breakfast, lunch or dinner

They're on every street corner because they're DELICIOUS! Houston is very diverse. We have food trucks for all kinds of food, not just Mexican. Creole, Indian, all kinds of BBQ, gourmet Mac n Cheese, you name it!

There was a local pizza place that bought two used ice cream trucks and had them re-fitted. They drove around town and sold pizza slices for $1 (going rate at the parlor was .75¢). It was freakin awesome... A shame they ony lasted a few years and the trend did not catch on... Pizza trucks should also be everywhere.

My wife and I used to go to a local bar every Friday and Saturday night for Latin dance parties. Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue, etc...

When the regular DJ (a friend of ours) moved out of town, he was replaced with a younger guy (another friend of ours).

One day, the Afro-Cuban All-Stars came to town to do a concert. My wife, who was dancing in the aisles, got pulled up on stage and was dancing with the band during the concert.

After the concert, she invited the band to the bar with the Latin dance party.

When they arrived, they brought a CD of their own music along, and gave it to my wife, who gave it to the new DJ.

It took about half an hour for the DJ interrupt his nonstop reggaeton playlist to play a single tune from the CD.

By that time, we both had a headache.

Most of us old fogies would have preferred to put the CD on, and play the whole damn thing from start to finish.

I mean, it's not everyday that International Stars come to our little parties and bring their own music.

Kids, these days!

At least I know that we're not alone in complaining about the music that kids listen to these days.. If you listen closely, you can hear the word "reggaetón" at 3:54 in this video.

She an old fogie, as well.

If I go to the local 7-11 any time before 11 am, there's a bunch of old farts sitting in a booth on the side being really obnoxious. They are devotees of the Slobfather and at least one of them buys into the Q nonsense. They are stupid, loud, and disgusting. And I'm an old lady. I'd rather have the kids, TYVM.

BTW, these guys were kicked out of the Burger King next door for taking up space and annoying the customers. So that door swings both ways, y'all.

Spousal unit is a conflict avoider unless someone directly bothers us. And the people who run the 7-11 are a young Indian couple and both rather small.
