I was amazed at how many movies I recognized, and I wanted to see the ones I didn't.

3. To me, they forgot THE most beautiful scene: Zhivago looking through the frost covered window

glass. Also, the frozen interior of the house the family flees to. Dr. Zhivago is a treasure trove of cinematic excellence... surprised it wasn't included!

That racist Scarlett O'Hara mourning for the Old South?

8. I agree. A lot of great movies (and some less so) but few of these are "the most beautiful"

9. That is the scene where Scarlett eats the bitter radish

and says "As God is my witness I will never be hungry again."

This is where she changes from the shallow flirt in the beginning of the film to the mature woman who fights for her family's survival. She does a lot of things after that which would not be "seemly" for a woman of that time, but she is determined to survive.

There are a lot of racist things in that movie no question about it but this scene is not one of them.

6. Nothing from Lawrence of Arabia? Nothing from Dune? Nothing from

Dances with Wolves? And lots of other stunning films.

Those are nice scenes in that video, but not the most beautiful.

Although a tiny snip really loses the impact of that scene...

the one above is gorgeous. The sunsets are gorgeous. The underwater scene is gorgeous. I agree about Dr Shivago.
