Yet, the cat stays on the bed.

1. The bed is the cat's territory. The puppies keep trying to nurse, and that really

annoys the cat.

2. I noticed that, while the cat

is annoyed and doesn't want to be bothered, it also does not take any aggressive actions toward the puppies. No swats or bites. Just keeps moving away and only hisses once, like a warning, but does not follow it up with aggressive posture. Good kitty. Cute puppies.
