I try to keep the kitties out but sometimes the old lady feline wakes me up by rubbing her head HARD on my forehead.

6. Mine does this too! And he watches for my hands, if I pull them out from under the covers he knows

there's a *chance* I might be getting up. If I look at my phone to check the time then put my hands back under the covers, you can almost hear the sigh of disappointment. If I don't put my hands back under the covers, he'll gently put his teeth over my fingertips. He doesn't bite down, he's very gentle, but it's his way of coaxing me up. If he's successful, he leads the way to the bathroom and after that, down the hall to the coffeepot. Oh, he knows the routine...

7. The important thing is that you know the routine.

If I have an exposed hand my cat rubs his head all over it. He usually sits on top of me until I tell him I have to get up. That’s when he jumps off the bed ready to guide me to the kitchen. It’s a daily routine.
