Buck grew to hate the show, despite the fact he was incredibly well paid for his work, and it required only a small time commitment. He said in his autobiography:
"I couldn’t justify turning down that big paycheck for just a few weeks work twice a year…So, I kept whoring myself out to that cartoon donkey."

Back when I was a kid, I loved the jokes, and hated the music.

Nowadays I hate the jokes and love the music!
