How TF did they get that on the plane in the first place? isn't it illegal for live things (other than pets) to go on an airplane?

My grandparents would bring boxes of food packed in dry ice out whenever they visited. One time they tried to bring a bushel of blue crabs out. The same thing happened. They tore through a corner of the box and a stream of crabs came down the baggage claim.
I don’t think my dad was ever more embarrassed.

My sis was riding back on a bus from the Bronx to Manhattan. It was Summer. The bus had departed from the beach area. She caught it as it already traveled nearly a third+ of the way.

Suddenly someone's bucket tipped over and out came the scuttling crabs! 😄😄😄
