Yeah, I had Batman and Superman comics in the 50's, but when I matured I wanted
something more than kid stuff.
Batman - many movies
Superman "
Wolverine
Hulk
Spiderman
etc, etc, etc.
Americans need to grow up and out of fantasyland.

I listened to a couple of coworkers going on about some of those movies and they sounded very childish indeed.

Been years since I've been to one. Pandemic plus all the dumb special effect and fantasy stories makes going out and spending too much at a theater not worth it.

by "The 10 Commandments." I don't recall many after that.

I am surprised there aren't more. Increased opportunity to sell popcorn.

In a Greek movie theater and they had an intermission. Don't think they did that in the US. Saw Gone With the Wind with no intermission for the first time at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Theater had love seats and drink service.

Comes at the "cliffhanger" (pun intended). And the intermission is included in the Apple Movie version I bought years ago.

I remember Mary Poppins having an intermission when I saw that as a child.

as much as the fact that so few short movies are being made. Horror, mysteries, comedy, Sifi and action, all start to fade out after 1:30 min.

To me a 90 minute movie seems too short. Kind of like a slightly longer TV show episode.

If it is boring and not very good, 60 minutes is way too long. If it is good and engaging, 120 to 140 minutes works well for me.

clocks in at over 3 hours. Watching it is torturous.

Drive My Car is one of ten best picture nominees of 2021.

Producer/Director/Actor ego is my guess.

The networks have added twice the commercials of the a few years ago. It now takes 3-hrs to watch a 90-minute movie on cable. Not counting HBO etc.

Still haven't seen The new Batman movie. Part of the reason is that I'm sick of the constant telling and retelling and recasting Batman movies. Plus, Sparkly Vampire as Batman.. Give me a break. Mr. Mom will always be my favorite and the best Batman
