That was a neat introduction to Jed Bartlet. Comes in at the very end and steals the show.

I have so many favorite episodes from that series.

2. Two Cathedrals

The Two Cathedrals was a great episode.

It had Lawrence O'Donnell playing Bartlett's father.

Two Cathedrals, though, is powerful. Another good episode along those lines is the one where Bartlet was struggling with a federal death penalty case and he got sage advice from priest Karl Malden.

I miss that show.

It's easy to confuse this with the first entrance of Martin Sheen in the pilot, as his first line in that is "I am The Lord Thy God! Thou wilt have no other gods before me!"
