Josh Homme -- Brilliant musician, mean drunk

I love his work with Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age

Especially his work with Mark Lanegan (RIP)

But he's a domestic abuser, a stalker, and an all around mean drunk who has almost killed people

So what do I make of all that?

CAN you separate the art from the artist?

cent of my money to scum like him. I gave up my time, effort, and/or energy to get my money. Giving it to him, IMHO, is supporting him and his behavior.

Once he kicked that female photographer in the lens while she was shooting, I thought… “jackass,” and was extremely turned off to his music. Now hearing all the domestic abuse allegations, I can’t listen anymore. There are so many related bands and other members’ side bands, I’m Ok without it.

I lament that my engagement with popular music ended with the release of Peter Gabriel's album "So." Then I read tidbits like this, and decide that maybe it's not such a lament.
