What are more modern terms for...

... places like DU and Reddit than "bulletin board?" "Forum" doesn't do it for DU, because "General Discussion" and "The DU Lounge" are forums here.

3. Forum works for me. When I mention the DU most people don't know what I'm referring to

when I say "Democratic Underground" almost all know when I say "my Democratic forum"
Another older term was message boards and BBS.. bulletin board system.
Way back was the Usenet newsgroups that the prefix was ALT.. LIke Alt sports cars, alt photography etc. That's where the "alt right" got its name from the old usenet format...
