here who did not realize how great a band the Foo Fighters are understand why they mean so much to so many people, and why Taylor Hawkins' death was such a loss.

This is their greatest song, in my opinion and the opinion of many rock journalists and most of their fans (judging by a Rolling Stone readers' poll where none of their other songs even got close).

The song wasn't about Kurt Cobain, though many people thought some of the lyrics fit.

It's about special relationships you want to last forever, though nothing can.

This song closed their show in Buenos Aires on March 20, Taylor's last concert with the Foo Fighters.

Docreed2003 posted that performance in the Music Appreciation group yesterday morning

and I hope everyone here will look at that OP and watch the video. And listen to what Dave said just before the song, which is so heartbreaking now.

you know, the band really seems to have fun which is not easy after working together for 20+ years. saw some tributes on youtube this morning from Elton John, Liam Gallagher, Coldplay.
