Edited...I swear the cat Amara is very upset that I didn't include her in this post. She is giving me the evil eye...so she is a rescue of sorts. She belonged to my sister-in-law who went into a home. She is a Siamese and has a great deal of personality. I wouldn't call her sweet but she will sit in your lap and allow you to pet her...a great honor you understand. I lost the family cats when the kids moved out...they took the cats.

(68,455 posts)hubs on the thumb the first day we had her. He tried to pick her up...but over time with gentleness and by feeding her by hand...letting her come to us, we won her over and now she is the sweetest dog ever. I take her to the pet store and the kids are allowed to gently pet her...she will shake their hands. My only worry is they are getting older...sigh. I wish dogs could live as long as we do.
