They are pretty strong and can be aggressive. In this case it looks like it decided it needed to escape the stall as the volunteer entered. Its a common behavior. I hope she wasnt seriously injured.

My 2 cousins, my sister and I got chased up trees by an aggressive ram when their dad forgot to close the pasture gate. My sister was the smallest and couldn't get up so I had to get down, push her up, then jump up myself and the ram just barely missed me. Then he rammed that tree several times and we were all yelling at the 5 year old to hold on! Finally a long time later (or so it seemed to 7 year old me) my uncle came out and removed the ram. I've never gotten near a sheep since then.
