Big winds, today. I just saw a HUGE tree come crashing down, on the other side of the street.

It's in the back yard of the problem neighbors but I still hope it didn't damage their house. I'd go look, but they are very unpleasant.

When I was leaving Aldi, the wind was at my back and almost blew me right into the back of my car! This is the strongest wind I've ever been out in, since leaving Iceland.

I sure hope we make it through this with electricity in tact!

The wind last night was fierce, but as the rain got closer, it dropped off a lot. I've noticed that happening more often when heavy rain comes through here. The brunt of the storm got here about 10:30 to 10:45, as one of my housemates barely beat it coming home from her job.

Lots of rain near me, with very high winds. Forecast gusts up to 60 mph.

All ok at my home & feral showed up for breakfast.

Stay safe! I hope your electric stays on.

Outdoor kitties sticking close to the house. Very windy in east Tennessee where my daughter is too, and there are wildfires there. Thinking of the Gatlinburg fire of 2016 and hoping it doesn't turn into another one.

The wind has suddenly picked up here in Delaware temperatures in the 60s. I think we’re due to get this storm later on today. My feral showed up for breakfast, too. Good luck

There are over 500 power outages in the Consumer Energy coverage area and they are saying repairs might be delayed because of continuing wind gusts.

And it was weird when that tree fell. The wind was so loud, but I heard a sharp noise and then what sounded like water rushing.

There is damage to the garden barns in both yards. And it kind of looks like the tree was on one property, but mostly fell on the other.

I didn't see Mittens the Kitten, this morning, but she might have been put off by the wind. I'll keep checking for her and if she shows up, I'll sneak her some extra food.

Tiger was dozing on the little rug beside his house this morning. Temperature was about 60. I’m ready to fill the hummingbird feeders if we finally gotten past the freezing weather

The wind wasn't that strong when I went in to Aldi but I honestly had trouble standing while taking things out of the cart and heading to my car. My bags were kind of heavy but I didn't want to have to make a round trip with the cart. I think that weight was my saving grace - the wind really was that strong. I had to brace to keep from being blown over.

Fortunately, it looks like things are settling down and there's nothing significant in the 10 day forecast.

Apparently Pfizer in Research Triangle Park lost part of its roof

My son--who is 10 minutes from me-- said they were sheltering in the stairwell of his townhouse. Rain was coming down sideways because of so much wind!
