Lion Hops Into Safari Car Full of People - pals around with people

Lion Hops Into Safari Car Full of People in Terrifying Video: 'Heck No'

According to the account's bio, the video was filmed at Taigan Safari Park in Belohorsk, Crimea—a park that is reportedly famous for offering tourists close encounters with large jungle cats.

The video opens with the giant predator crawling into the front of the safari car. Once inside, it climbs over a few rows of seats and eventually rests its head on one guest's shoulder. Meanwhile, the car's other passengers take turns petting the jungle cat, until eventually, it jumps out of the car and back onto the ground.

If they would be guaranteed to never be sued for bodily injuries. Our insurance system is not set up for this, but what a rush to be so close to such a beautiful animal.

You jump into a car, do they call you Tawny the Car-Jumper? No. You tip over the food tray do they call you Tawny the Food-Tipper? Of course not. But you eat one man...

but this is NOT SAFE OR SANE!

It's all fun & games until someone gets mauled.

The keepers can get away with that, as the lions know them and lions are social creatures.

However, encouraging such behavior from visitors is reckless and irresponsible.

It's not safe for the people or the lions.

If they act like my cat does at bed time all snugly, good zzzzz's by all. Catching zzz's with your favorite critter is special.

Mine sits on my legs and kneads until he’s bored…something you wouldn’t want to happen with a 500-pound tomcat!

Mind you, it was one who had been trained to interact with people.

9. Cheetahs are not very aggressive. They are pretty safe around people.

And that's even the wild ones. If they've been raised around people they are about as harmless as a trained large dog.

I would have no problem with the above video if it were a cheetah.
A lion is very risky around strangers. People it knows would probably be safe, as they would be seen as a member of the pride.
