Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI just picked up a piece of Certified mail that was placed in my mailbox. I thought I had to sign
for it. It is not Registered mail because I looked it up and the attachments say "Certified mail"
Anyone know if the mailman just didn't understand or didn't care. I'm not mad; it's just that I have never experienced this before.

certified delivery and certified return receipt....
Only return receipt needs to be signed for.
But my memory is dusty wrt snail mail.

has to be checked for "signature required." I could also be wrong, so.....?

It in your mailbox. The sender didn't request a return receipt. But the sender knows it was delivered to your address.
