(12,723 posts)It only went down to 88 degrees last night in Tulsa. That is totally unreal. Last year they had a day when it only got down to 87.
There is every chance we may lynch Inhofe one of these days.

(417 posts)North Central Arkansas, with a forecast of 108. What is bizarre for this area is the low humidity which has been as low as 9% in the last month.

(1,013 posts)Am north of you, along Bull Shoals Lake. The ONLY folks that seem happy about the heat are the campers, boaters and those who sell beer.
That low humidity has the Ozarks looking "golden" as the California foothills.
You are two degrees warmer than here. And not a break looking to come our way.

Gotta watch the end of the Women's gymnastics in a few hours. Never had that kind of talent/abilities, but sure envy those who do.

(53,339 posts)Not so bad, when we see heat waves striking elsewhere.
Stay cool--and remember, it may not be the best time to go hiking or to do a bicycle marathon if you're in the heat.
Anybody got a cold drink? Or at least some recommendations?

(72,381 posts)the windows closed so it was about 12 degrees cooler inside. It gets up to about 78 inside in the evenings, so I open the windows to let in the cooler air. (This is coastal
Maine, btw. Nice weather, but not nearly enough rain this July.)

(30,947 posts)The weather guy just said it was 87 in Atlanta. We had some rain today to cool the temperatures down from the 90s.

(6,011 posts)In the evening the temp drops either quickly or gradually, so in the morning it's usually around 60.
Here, just west of Sacramento, normally no rain from sometime in May to sometime in October... Golden Hills, as you said.
