I'm gonna throw my immune system a curve ball tomorrow

I’ve gotten three Moderna shots against COVID-19, but I’m getting Pfizer tomorrow. I haven’t read any advice against it, so I’m gonna shake things up.

I got J&J last march, then Moderna in October and another Moderna tomorrow.

2. I plan on getting my second booster also but thinking about delaying it

until or if there is a surge in the Austin area. At present we are in a decline.

But remember, it takes a couple of weeks for it to reach it’s peak effectiveness. Balancing act.

4. I've used that strategy with flu shots

waiting until flu season has ‘officially’ started before getting the shot in order to extend protection later in the season. With COVID-19 resurgent, however, I want to be ready ASAP.

5. Understand. I plan on discussing it with my Doc next week during my appointment.

We don't expose ourselves much so hoping that things will mellow out soon. I expect a surge from SXSW and Spring break crowds but so far not that bad. And with temps getting so damn hot so early maybe we can escape a near-term surge here in Central Texas.

Only "side effect" was a sore spot at the injection site... for all 4.
