movie Finding Your Feet. What I heard pleased me so much I had to track it down
and after that I just had to share what I found. The original recording I heard was
made in 1959 by Mina.

The video I've chosen here is in color and the sound quality is better than what was
used in the movie but the arrangement and Mina are the same.

And when I read "Moon Tan" I inevitably thought of Golden Earring's album Moontan, with "Radar Love."

And "Vanilla Queen," which refers to the Monroe-like subject of the song having a moon tan.

Barry Hay's lyrics. I wonder if he was familiar with that Mina song.

7. We're all learning something today. What about "Moondance", "Blue Moon Of

Kentucky", "Moon River" and "Bad Moon Risin"? All I know is I really like the Mina song since I first heard it (no matter that it is Italian and not Spanish) and all the rest too.
