Anyone here still enjoy "New Age" music like I do?

I'll find on Youtube recordings of "Musical Starstreams" or "Hearts Of Space," or find composers and/or artists there.

Tangerine Dream
Jarre
Mannheim Steamroller
Kitaro

Just so many out there.

I listen to and play all sorts of music. Never one to pin myself down on any one type of music.

Esteban Ramirez is one of my faves.

ETA: I think whoever put that video together added the constant rain sound effect. All I hear on the music I downloaded from iTunes is the piano piece.

I still have a collection of new age cassette tapes from the 80s and I keep my battery-operated cassette player/radio with my hurricane supplies. I enjoy listening to new age on youtube now. Here's an old favorite.

I think of them more as modern classical.

Their 'Fresh Aire' series of albums is a collection of modern-day compositions in various classical styles, toccata, sonatas, serenades, dances, etc. They use a combination of modern and Renaissance instruments.

Although I'm not totally on board with that descriptor.

For me, it started with Jean-Michel Jarre (Oxygen, Equinoxe), Klaus Schulze (Mirage, Body Love, Moondawn, Timewind, X), Tangerine Dream, even Kraftwerk, Rick Wakeman, and Vangelis (Blade Runner soundtrack and many others).

I detest Jazz, so I avoid anything that adds a beat to the electronica.
