Thankfully I have a decade to make up whatever losses. But many who wanted to retire soon may not be able to.

And two out of every three years it goes up.

That sharp decline in March of 2020 was completely reversed by December.

Don't fret, just stay invested for the long run. Don't day trade, don't try to time the market.

Back when Trump was elected, there were people here who said they'd sell all their investments because the stock market was sure to tank big time. Well, it didn't, and anyone who actually sold everything had made a huge mistake. Yes, the gains weren't as good as when Obama was in office, and yes there was that large drop in early 2020, but staying invested over the long haul is the best strategy.

Real estate has been rising, it often hedges against inflation that way.
