When I was a middle school brat, the Two Egg city limits sign was the most stolen road sign in Florida, and I only stole it once.

(34,136 posts)For a cool Florida town name, I always liked Oneco. My father once told me it was actually meant to be One Company, as in a one company town, but some map maker put the two words together with an abbreviation for company and labeled it that way. Locals pronounce it O-ni-co if I remember correctly.

Blue Ball, PA
Intercourse, PA (Of course those two are pretty close together)
Bird in Hand, PA (Hey, I'm just sayin')
And in my home state of Virginia, Bumpass. (I think it's pronounced Bumpuss but BumpAss would work too).
And where my mother in law used to live, there's a Whiskey Road...yep, the signs got stolen all the time!

(17,200 posts)PA is full of weird-ass names, some of which are perennial favorites in lists such as this. Blue Ball and Intercourse being the ones most frequently cited.
PA also has Jerkwater, although nobody lives there anymore.
