TV - man there are so many good shows. I'd say a golden age. No Spoilers.

Ozark just ended of course.
The Flight Attendant - Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang) is a hot mess but it’s a really good intricate show.
The Offer - getting “The Godfather” onto the screen.
Hacks - season 2 now available - crude and direct but I can’t miss a minute of Jean Smart 🥰. Funny is funny.
Star Trek Strange New Worlds - a prequel to the original series. Just watched the first episode and it is fantastic. Tons of references to what’s to come in the other series. Very interesting element that Captain Pike knows his end but how does he deal with the time he has. Spock is played by Ethan Peck (Gregory Peck’s grandson).

On edit - Gaslit - Julia Roberts as Martha Mitchell and Sean Penn as John Mitchell. Very well done and the details to the early 70’s is like a time warp.

I'm definitely looking forward to Strange New Worlds. I remember when Enterprise was announced thinking there was no way to make a good prequel and it ended up being maybe my favorite.

I also thought Queen of the South was fairly good

Hacks~~~HBO Max & You Tube
Star Trek~~~Amazon Prime & Paramount +
Gaslit~~~Starz

Here's one I enjoy, kind of off the beaten track.
HITMEN~~~~Peacock
Semi-Dark Comedy.
An enjoyable short series. 2 Seasons, 6 episodes each, Episodes less than 30 minutes.
May be a 3rd Season in September, British.

Best friends and misfits Fran and Jamie are making their way in the world with only each other to rely on; they also just happen to kill people for a living. Fran and Jamie are not your typical assassins for hire, having accidentally stumbled into a career in contract killing. Their terrifying boss, Mr. K, makes it clear that their lives are at stake if they mess up their assignments. Through frivolous bickering and inane antics, the hapless duo tries to carry out their latest hits without being derailed by their own incompetence. As the pair is thrown into a series of bizarre misadventures, the body count mounts (along with the mishaps). While affable goofball Jamie seems content to spend her days hanging out in a van with her best friend, the neurotic Fran starts to question whether this is really the life she wants, putting their friendship to the test.

Great low voice, and just like his grandfather, easy on the eyes. I think most of the cast members are well chosen, except for the person portraying Nurse Chapel. I don’t care for the portrayal or appearance so far.

All these shows appear to be made for binge watching a season at the time, but I don't get the impression at all that the story arc is in any way planned or scripted. And then they're cancelled without resolution when the viewing figures drop below acceptable.

Maybe I've been unlucky.
