"Pikun, Lek said in other videos, was the one that was forced to work as a trekking elephant just down the road, and when her feet were free to carry the tourists, instead of staying on the designated path, with the tourists in the saddle on her back, she would run away to ENP and join the ENP elephants, and the ENP elephants would surround her to comfort and protect her. Can you imagine as a tourist, riding in her saddle/"basket" Lek called it, and the elephant running away with you and winding up at ENP surrounded by free-living elephants, not knowing where the ele took you? Lek said Pikun did this time after time, that she kept running away (with tourists) to ENP to the same result, such that the owner's plan of Pikun working wasn't working 😂, such that Lek offered to purchase Pikun, the owner agreed in 2017, and Pikun has never left since! Way to go, Girl! She ran away and kept doing it, and ran to the right place! Good for her!"
