Sitting next to a college friend from Ecuador who had just graduated, and I was letting him live with me while he found a job when this song came on. I looked at him totally deadpan and said, "This is Ecuador's national anthem, right?" He was literally stunned. "But it's got Spanish in it!" At which point he knew I was joking and punched him hard on the arm.
