So Ray Liotta had one of the sappiest/tear jerk lines in movie history. (possible spoilers)

RIP Ray.

I know a lot of people get all sappy about Kevin Costner saying "Wanna have a catch?" at the end of Field of Dreams.

I was crying WAY before that. And the line in the script that did it was...

"No Ray, it was you."

Can’t make it to the end without going to pieces though. My dad played catcher at a small college back in the late 30s and me and my older brothers would use his mitt to play catch in the yard. Sometimes, he would join us and he would shock us with how he could throw a screwball and the amount it would curve in the opposite direction of a regular curve.

He had been orphaned as a boy, had a difficult childhood and some of those scars stayed with him throughout life. He wasn’t always the easiest person in the world to get along with. Still, the end scene is too much for me and I lose it every time. I finally decided to quit watching it because of that.
