It was indeed just an updated Romancing the Stone, and there was zero chemistry between them, and zero mystery how it would turn out. Even noticed ridiculous details like a tires screeching sound effect - when they were driving on a dirt road in the jungle. And they kept saying it was a forgotten remote island, but there was an airport, a resort and a car rental agency? It was lazy, tired, uninspired and far beneath the talents of all these loved actors.
