The Best 'My House, Not My Cat' Moments That Have Ever Happened To Humans

Thought I'd use YouTube to check out some more Toten Hosen music, but this was the first thing I noticed on the site.

I am part time mommy to a neighbor's cat, not quite the same thing.

And nearly two decades ago a cat showed up in our front yard, essentially on her last legs, decided we were her final hope. We took her in and I'm so glad. She was only with us three years, but it was wonderful.

I have one official cat, and I could easily be a crazy cat lady, but I've been controlling myself.

for the few years she had left! She obviously chose the right people to turn to for help. That's cool that you're a part-time mom to your neighbor's cat, too, as well as having one official cat.

The last three cats I adopted were all feral kittens, rescues. One just a couple of weeks old and crying by the bike trail, no momcat around. One I fortunately heard crying outside when I was awake at 2 am, reading, and ran out to find a tabby kitten afraid to follow her feral momcat through snowdrifts, and the momcat was too small to carry her easily. The third was a starving feral kitten whose mom hadn't been seen for a couple of days, on a relative's farm.

Rescued cats are treasures.
