Back when I was in college in the Pleistocene era, the only places you could go to watch porn were a few seedy movie theaters in seedy neighborhoods. For some reason, probably on account of a fair amount of weed, a group of us decided one sub-zero night that we should head out to the Franklin Theater and see some porn. The Franklin was a very old movie theater that had first opened in 1914 but by the time we visited it, it was showinng adult films. It wasn't even showing those by 1990.

Anyhow, we managed to cram nine people, all high as kites, into an ancient Volvo station wagon, out of whose windows the driver could barely see because it was below zero and nine people were breathing. But we made it to the theatre, bought our tickets, and found seats that didn't look too disgusting and were reasonably far away from the skeevy middle-aged guys who were sitting by themselves with popcorn boxes strategically placed on their laps. Deep Throat was on the bill, but I don't remember that much about the other movies - there were a couple of them - except that the most weirdly hilarious one involved a very overweight, naked Swedish lady who showed an unusual fondness for farm animals. I think our uproarious laughter might have distracted the three or four skeevy guys with popcorn boxes.
Anyhow, that one experience with adult cinema, though entertaining in a way that probably was not intended, was plenty for me.
