Thanks for these.

(698 posts)insisted on always watching my wife and me taking baths. One night, for no special reason, I looked over at her and said, "I have to do this because I don't have a tongue like yours." She gave me a surprised look and hung her tongue out in a way I'd never seen and never saw from her again. I replied, "Yes, that's right." Then she hopped down and waited to be let out. She never watched either of us bathe again.
Once it was explained to her, she decided this strange ritual wasn't that interesting any more.

(21,611 posts)When Ember was a kitten, she put her face right up to mine when I brushed my teeth, like the cat in the OP video. Afterward, I found her chewing on the toothbrush, as if trying to do her own teeth.
She also climbed all over me when I was on the toilet. She has outgrown that, but now likes to peek at me on the toilet from behind the shower curtain.
When I take a shower, she howls pitifully. But if I tell her ahead of time what I am going to do, she's ok with it. I point to myself, say my name, point to the shower, and say, "It's all right." Repeat a couple times, then get into the shower.
Several years ago, my husband and I had a kitten that always propped his front paws on the toilet bowl between my husband's legs to watch the urine stream go into the toilet. After the time when he got dribbled on, he stopped doing that. But, he got onto the edge of the tub to chase the shadows of drops on the shower curtain. One time he leaned too far and fell into the shower. Definitely not one of those cats that like water. He raced out like a bat out of hell and avoided the tub and shower after that.
