I always have a few of the 12 pack boxes on Maruchan on hand. I always add in a little extra bouillon because they don't have enough in the packet... A little soy sauce, some Cholula, some extra onion powder, garlic powder and fresh ground black pepper... Round it off with whatever leftover meat I have (today is a few slices of think cut genoa salami diced up)... I could eat this stuff all day

(7,911 posts)drain the noodles, then use spaghetti sauce and thaw a couple of frozen meatballs for instant spaghetti and meatballs for lunch.
Or, I throw away the packet and use any one of my favorite salad dressings. (I drain the noodles when they're ready.)
Those packets are just full of sodium anyway, and not very good for you.
Or, I throw away the packet and cook the noodles in organic low-sodium veggie broth. Then add a few veggies to the finished product for a quick and easy (and healthy) veggie soup.
The most important step, an any case, is to throw away the packet-o-death and all its sodium.

(3,415 posts)This stuff is the best ramen on the planet:
https://www.amazon.com/Indomie-Instant-Noodles-Certified-Original/dp/B081DMKG48/ref=sr_1_4?crid=15FTGMZU4AEHH&keywords=indo+mi+goreng&qid=1655485637&sprefix=Indo+mi%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-4
It's flavored with sweet soy sauce, sesame oil and spices and is absolutely delicious. I buy it at my local Asian grocery store where it is about $11 per case of 30 packets. Amazon is too expensive.
Also, here is a recipe for a similar dish using regular ramen:
Ingredients
2 3 oz. packages of Ramen Noodles (discard the flavoring packets)
½ cup frozen peas and carrots
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Sriracha sauce
1 Tbsp. Fried Onions, crushed
1/4 tsp. corn starch
½ tsp. Sesame oil, Japanese style
2 Tbsp. Peanut or cashew pieces
Directions
Cook noodles as per directions, adding the peas and carrots with the noodles into the boiling water.
While noodles and veggies are cooking, make the sauce in a medium bowl: add the soy sauce,
Sriracha sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, sesame oil, and fried onions; mix well and set aside.
Drain the noodles, add to the bowl and mix the sauce with the noodles. Top with nuts and serve hot
with stir fried vegetables and tofu.
Enjoy!
