(66,396 posts)I dont get a lot of patients seeking abortion, but when I do, I refer them to Planned Parenthood right away. I wasnt trained to perform abortions, but I will make sure my female patients get the care they need.
Are you in a state which allows abortion, or in a state where which does not?

(66,396 posts)Were one of the most liberal states in the country. We have the eastern part of the state trying to drag us to the right, but we still have the numbers.

(26,403 posts)I know exactly what you mean about the Eastern half of the state. Glad my parents got me to Austin many, many years ago - I definitely would not have fit in.
Half hoping my girls end up in the PNW or New England when they finally decide to fly away.

(66,396 posts)I will refer them with pride.

(8,034 posts)Your reply is more appreciated than you know. And your observation reminds me of what I came to know as the four steps to spiritual health according to a Native American wisdom tradition. Step one is simply to show up. The rest are as follows:
2) Be present,
3) Tell the truth,
4) Let go of the results.
Because you reached out, I will make it a priority to show up more often. And yes, finally, its g&t season!
Cheers mon brave,
Mme. D.

(33,527 posts)When I was a kid, to be "cool" people insisted it should be drank warm. I was a stupid kid and thought it would be horrible to not be "cool," so I drank it that way.
I don't care about being cool now, It's cold for me.
I just put a bottle in the freezer. It got a little slushy, but I drank it anyway.
It's been many years since I had it on tap. Apparently it involves connecting the keg to a nitrogen tank and people don't want to bother.
Lucas Electric made the electrical components for the Jaguar - they also made refrigerators. Should tell you why the British drink "cool" beer. That said, Lucas also made vacuum cleaners - it was their only product which did not suck.

Currently sitting with a proper pint of cask bitter.

(33,527 posts)...object to be calling "nobodies."
Not a big deal I think, though. I used to drink Guinness at "room temperature" or sometimes "beach temperature," on days that were warm. It was important to me at the time - as I was a rather weak minded kid - to be "cool" by drinking "warm" stout.
I don't know how I should drink Guinness, but I do know how I like Guinness, which is cold.
The bottle in my refrigerator says right on it, "Drink straight from the bottle chilled."
