In our long line of rescues over the last fifty years, weve had at least three dogs who thought falling asleep in a snow storm was nirvana. A Saint, a Samoyed and a Pyrenean Mastiff, or as close as we could guess, given that they were all rescues. We also had a Setter? that loved to do it, but only if I would cover him with my hoodie first.
All would resist any efforts to get them to come in as long as the snow was falling. More than a few times the dog would disappear and youd have nothing but a strange lump of a snow drift in the yard.
