(22,037 posts)He's a gun-hummer and he fires off his fireworks every holiday: New Year's, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and Thanksgiving, (what do fireworks have to do with the turkey?!).
A couple of years ago, one of his rockets fell over and ignited the dry grass in his yard. It started a fire that consumed half his yard and threatened his house.
I guess that's what passes for fun when he isn't drunkenly firing his guns up the hill into the forrest.

Eastern Washington state.
Where are you?
I was quite pleasantly surprised when they quit shooting after they set my poor dog to barking madly! I yelled for him to come and settle, and they stopped!
They are the ones that set off the M80 (?) on New Year's! All the poor critters in the area 'bout lost it at that one!
Quiet 4th, tho. I'm in wildfire country so they dasn't even try!!

(22,037 posts)Yesterday was crazy with all of the personal fireworks and gunfire. It started around 10 AM and continued until midnight.
To me, it's perplexing but I guess boys will be boys...

(17,542 posts)In Miami (Fl) the big excitement was people who used their firearms for fireworks. Never thinking or caring about where that bullet was going to come down. At midnight on New Years Eve, you could hear gunfire in all directions.
