For those who recovered from Covid, question about treatment.

I'll put it in form of a poll, since I just want a broad overview. Feel free to comment further, if you're so inclined.

What were you prescribed, and would you use the same treatment if you acquired Covid again?

I was prescribed a corticosteroid. Yes, it worked for me.

Had it twice, both times confirmed with a pcr test. Symptoms were mild and I used nothing to treat it. My wife used some Tylenol sinus meds to help with the headache and congestion. The kids never had any symptoms either times.

My symptoms have been fairly mild, but the Paxlovid is leaving an awful aftertaste.

For that my nurse friend told me to walk around for 5 min (at least 1-2 if 5 not possible) every hour, drink tons of water, and eat liquid and semi liquid food - dehydration is killer. I was very close to hospitalization, but made it through with pushing myself to move and eat when it was hard to do either. Took about 14 days for my oxygen to stay normal again, whew, so glad I made it when others didn't because there were no treatments 12/20.

The doctor said I did not qualify for the meds. The meds were saved for those with underlying conditions.

Maybe it was because he also had a sinus infection? Anyway, he was doing well, and then he did have a relapse on day ten. But on day eleven he tested negative for Covid. However, the doc said the relapse was Covid related and gave him more cortisol and another antibiotic.

I was just wondering how much that relapse might have occurred because he was off the prednisone and there was a window where his own natural immunities hadn't kicked in yet?

Got it from his boss. Meh. He had his first two shots but not a booster.

Anyway. He's just getting through it with Advil (I think), plenty of hydration, and resting. His work requires you take five days, and then have five further days without symptoms and with clear tests, and then five days back with a mask required. They're letting him telecommute.

He doesn't have the cough and other respiratory issues really, but he had an awful headache the first day or two which was helped by showers.
