The film is 'North Star'. I remember him telling me that one of his favorite expressions was 'I'm just bustin' your chops'. He said Jimmy was quite the character, and he meant that in the most flattering way.

He starred with Alan Arkin - Caan played "Freebie" and Arkin played "Bean."

But did you notice the guy sitting opposite them at the desk? That's Alex Rocco who was in The Godfather with James Caan two years earlier. Alex Rocco played "Moe Greene" in The Godfather.

I just watched The Godfather for 10th time the other day, and all those characters are fresh in my mind.

RIP James Caan and thanks for all the great movies!
