Such a sweet, wonderful man put through such horror and then de-frocked just for being gay. His kindness, gentleness, and empathy for the oppressed and downtrodden made him perfect for the priesthood as it should be. But I guess the Church was more comfortable with predators and child molesters.

We do see Leonard in crisis this series because hes lost his purpose but through Mrs Cs illness we witness his passion for caring for people, thats what hes good at and what matters to him and this leads him onto a new path by the end of the series.
