Meet Stevie.

Stevie is 6, and just got adopted.

The workers at the shelter are giving Stevie the “walk of honor” as he goes to his forever home.

Some years ago I did volunteer work at an animal shelter. While I worked mostly with the cats, I also worked the information/intake desk, and got to see the animal walkers taking the dogs out. I was struck by how every single dog wanted to greet every single human they crossed paths with. Dogs are so incredibly tuned to humans, and this video shows that very well.

Thank you for posting.

My current cat is not the cuddly, sit on my lap cat that I'd prefer. I'm thinking of sending her off to my son, who likewise does not want to be touched. Honestly, they'd be happy together. They could sit in the same room, look at each other, and then ignore each other. What more could either of them ask?

Well, keep all you described plus being married to your cousin (technically, 2nd cousin) and have cheap hair dye running down your cheeks as you speak to a national TV audience in a landscape company parking lot with the bunting embarrassing itself next to a dildo store after you farted on Jenna Ellis who was your partner on national TV but before you lost 63 voter fraud cases nationwide and before you tried to commit real election fraud in 6 states which preceeded running around our nations Oval Office trying to keep an unbelievably flawed man in an office to which the nation's voters said he no longer belongs but you didn't care about their wishes because you were only caring about your wishes and were committing treason in the most serious attack on our democracy in the history of our nation. Others have been executed by our government for less treason. Much less.

Or just the cat and the guy staring at each other would be fine.

Pets are indispensable. My dog is curled up by my head as we lay here on the couch. He loves Lyle Lovett. I think he does...sure is sleeping soundly. Your cat is fortunate.
