but they are LOVED, and still used, even 8 years later!

and grow quickly thereafter. I would go with 30" or 36" wide, but 38" to 40" long. That way, the child can use it for most of the first year. Hope this helps!

and stroller blankets since it is not recommended for kids under 1 yr to have blankets, pillows etc. in crib or bassinet.

I knit a 29x33 because I started to get bored of the project, it's still being used - so I would day 30 x 36

the overwhelming choice is 30"x36".

Loom is getting warped, the weft is wound on the shuttles and a way we go!

Some baby blankets are for swaddling a newborn, some are for use in a carseat or stroller, some are for the crib.

So that is a pretty good guide. I have read discussion online by quilters about making larger ones, even twin size (70"x90&quot , so the child can use it for many more years.
