I have a bit of a phobia and looking at too many images starts to give me a panic attack.
sorry for no scale it is probably about 2-2.5 inches long

(55,019 posts)this thing is pretty smooth. ugh just saw another one. I think they may be coming from some tall annual grass weed that showed up in the yard this year, has wide leaves and no seed heads yet.

(55,019 posts)and I do think it is coming out of some grass, but doesn't look the same. this thing has a big wide black head and those almost eyespots at the tail end.
