There is a whole pharmacy of help available and different therapies too.

Get help. It doesn't have to be this way.

...and to share a quote, "music never lets you down!" Life is horrific at moments unless I focus on just this moment. I hope you hang in there and find some peace in the life you have before you. Believe me, the depression is overwhelming, I'm very solitary and isolated and wounded myself. The world is for us too.

talk to someone who can help you find a way through this

please.

(i had to google anhero--thought it might be a typo or it might be a term i'm unfamiliar with.)

i bet that very important and very loved woman in your life would never want you to harm yourself.

call 988 -- see if that makes a bit of a difference until you can get some long term help.

6. I was on the verge of being suicidal in the first two or three years after my boyfriend died

I know the pain is horrible. I’ve been alone 17 years now. I finally talked to a doctor and tried different antidepressants and I realized I could not do that to my family. Also I knew my boyfriend would not have wanted me to do it. I’m not suicidal anymore but I still feel like half of me is gone. Get help, talk to somebody, take medication if you need to.We don’t want to lose you. Please know there are people who know what your pain is like. It’s a club nobody wants to belong to

there has just been a lot of stress on me lately. I recently found out my Mom is dying (stage 4 cancer of some sort), plus I'm having trouble getting my SDI started and the country human resources thinks I'm a malingerer and wants to end my general assistance / food stamps. though I cant really blame them, I'm sure it costs $1k or better to give me the $200 a month I have been living on since fall 2019
I'm just tired

the others here urging you to call 988. There are people who can help you -- people trained to help those in crisis.

We can offer support and encouragement here, but it does sound as if a call to 988 will help much more, and quickly.
