Chapel Hart - Made For Me (cross-post from Music Appreciation in April)

I thought I'd posted it in the Lounge as well then, but when I saw this thread from mopinko tonight -- https://democraticunderground.com/10181687583 -- and it seemed they were new to most people here, I thought I'd better check and saw I'd posted the video below only in MA -- https://democraticunderground.com/103473232 . I honestly think the song below is better than the one that wowed the judges on America's Got Talent. But I'm glad they're finally getting more attention.

See the reply I posted to that MA OP for more info on them.

1. Btw, I'm sorry I didn't remember to cross-post this to the Lounge a few

months ago. I sometimes lose track of which video I've posted where (glad the search function works so well), and I usually post videos in just one forum, the Lounge or MA, but this was one I'd meant to post in both.

Love this song, and this group.

... because the "energy" was through the roof, and it really got the audience going.

video above, watching it for the first time.

I admit my reaction to seeing that video of their AGT appearance wouldn't have been typical.

1) I was really surprised they needed to take a route like AGT when they were getting some attention from CMT months ago. By late March; I'd posted that MA thread in April, but that was just after midnight on April 1. Nearly 4 months ago. I don't follow the country charts or listen to country radio very often, but I'd assumed "Made For Me" would be a huge hit for them and that they'd be up for awards within a year.

2) I was a bit disappointed that they sang "You Can Have Him Jolene" on AGT because I'd listened to it before I posted "Made For Me" in MA, and I'd liked "Made For Me" so much more, especially with that video, that it didn't cross my mind to post "You Can Have Him Jolene" instead.

I thought "Made For Me" was a perfect country song, especially perfect for them.

But I'm glad they got the response they did on AGT.

Btw, I had not been looking for country music when that video popped up among the first videos I saw when I looked at YouTube that evening, the last hour or so of March. (I should probably look back at what I was posting here and in MA around that time; maybe there was some country music in those OPs, influencing the algorithm.) My usual preference is for blues rock and hard rock. But I do like some country music, and YouTube's algorithm sometimes turns up wonderful surprises.

Which they definitely were.

EDITING to add, re YouTube's algorithm and why that video might have popped up then, that I just searched for my MA OPs in the preceding two weeks, and they'd included a Johnny Cash documentary, Brother Dege, Vince Gill with other artists, and the finale of the Austin City Limits 40th anniversary show. So yeah, that could have led to some country music popping up a bit later...
