figured out what cats are doing when knocking things off tables, counters, etc. They are playing with their prey. If you have ever unfortunately seen a cat, who is not a great hunter or who is hungry, chase and catch a mouse. They play with them for forever before they finish the job. Our cats, over the past fifty years have never caught a mouse inside our house. We would make a lot of noise outside to stop bird or mouse murder if we saw them contemplating or trying to it outside. But, the cat pushing over the small bottle of white out is just what our kitty hunters who do with prey. For the past 20 years, we've only had indoor cats, no more hunting except for a fly or bug that has managed to get in to the house. We usually stop that too.
