Animals can be clever at getting food from containers. My cat has figured out that when she knocks a margarine tub to the floor, the lid pops off.

I bought a 'game' for my dog which had 8 closed compartments for treats. The first time I gave it to him, he flipped the whole thing over and all the treats fell out at once.
I had to prevent this approach to get him to open the 8 little doors with his nose. But now I have to admit, his approach was more obvious.

This was in the Everglades. They were able to open the jars inside too.
