de Armas as Monroe - and Fox's opinion

Ana de Armas, a Latina from Cuba and Spain, has been cast as Marilyn Monroe. One of the Foxites said it smacks of "racialism." Wtf is that? Just say racism, 🐔 💩.

And how is it racist? Perhaps she gave the best auditions, you morons. Perhaps the director found that she, above all others, has what s/he's looking for. Use your cute little pea brains.

Not only that, but they're questioning whether it was appropriate for an American to portray Margaret Thatcher, and an Irishman to portray Abraham Lincoln.

What in the name of Bob is wrong with these effing nationalists?

I'd guess you know that but your post made it unclear in some ways.

I loved her in the latest Bladerunner, thought she was awesome.

I'd like someone of their ilk to define racism and racialism. My dictionary says only that racialism is a different word for racism. How are the words different, GOP peeps? (I'm not asking you all, my blue friends. Just putting it out there.)

(Plus I have a narcotic for severe pain and I took one half an hour ago, so my mind is probably a little muddled.)

But that does strike me as strange casting.

I don't think there is any racial angle to it at all but it just seems a strange fit.

We shall see. I have been surprised by strange casting choices before.

The movie looks pretty good. de Armas is fast becoming one of my favorite actors.

We have to wait until September 28 - when Kathy and I will be on our road trip. We can watch it in our hotel in Slidell, LA.
