And the power outages just keep coming.

My niece lost power again. She also lost it during Wednesday's storm. While I was checking the status of her outage I noticed shading covering my neighborhood! Huh?? My power is fine. I'm wondering if there were some residual problems from Wednesday's outage issues. This subdivision has two separate areas that were developed about 10 years apart so I guess I'm on a different grid from my neighbors. I'm in the original section. The newer part never lost power on Wednesday.

I feel bad for those with outages because it's MISERABLY hot and humid. And it will be until Monday when temps will be 15 degrees cooler.

We got pummeled by a freakish storm on Wednesday. I think, at one point, over 800,000 were without power.

Our power estimated restoration time, yesterday, was 10:45 pm and it came on shortly after noon. My nieces wasn't supposed to be restored until today and hers came on before mine did. It's all a guessing game.

Oddly, Xfinity was here before noon to fix my cable that the neighbor's tree hit. They sent me a text shortly after the damage to let me know they'd be here as soon as it was safe. And they were. Impressive.

I'm just going to be on edge until that shading disappears from the outage map.
