But then, my (PA) girlfriend is almost always here on Friday night, and when that happens ... I have better things to do.

We're having Vodka/Zambia Cherry Bai cocktails tonight. ATM, she's doing dishes ... cause I'm the Chef of the house.

Like most PA’s, we’re required to have a supervision physician. But I have a great deal of autonomy. I haven’t seen my supervising physician in probably a year. He’s over at a different clinic. I’ve talked to him on the phone maybe twice this year. And we text probably every couple of weeks.

I’m the only medical provider at my clinic. I love it.

At least, not that plan. Most of my patients are on Washington State’s insurance.

15. I watched the movies Hidden Figures, Apollo 13 these last 2days. Some of those calculations

were done in chalk & pencil.
Do you remember using a slide rule for calculations?

I was terrible at math anyway.

But I loved that scene in ‘Apollo 13’ when all the Mission Control guys check Lovell’s math with pencils and slide rules. The nerds were the heroes! It was so cool!

20. I had to buy a Texas Instrument Scientific Calculator in 1988

for Radiation Therapy school, it was as chunk of change for me then.
Now, less then $25.
In Hidden Figures, when the numbers start dancing for Katherine Johnson on chalkboards, I get get goosebumps.

22. I remember my first one.

Texas Instruments something-or-other for college physics class. Some functions but no memory. Paid about $90 for it.

The calculator on my phone leaves it 'way in the dust.

I also remember when you could tell the engineering majors by the slide rule scabard hanging from their belt.
