However, I do live in an area where there are no venomous ones (other than a few rare timber rattlesnakes in the Mississippi bluffs) and no constrictors, so I can relax and not worry about some species' less charming attributes.

in a person's yard last week. They say it was probably a escaped pet and it could not survive in our climate long.
